Field Engineer – Full Time
Join our team of turbine generator engineers responsible for diagnostics, maintenance, and commissioning of turbine systems in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Project management and on-site technical direction
- Mechanical turbine generator maintenance
- Vibration analysis and balancing
- Troubleshooting of generator and turbine control systems
- Work with GE Mark I–VI, Woodward, and TurboNet systems
Requirements:
- BSME or BSEE preferred
- Experience with OEM turbine field service
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Nationwide travel with short notice required
Steam Turbine Start-Up Engineer – Full Time
This role supports the startup, controls, and calibration of steam turbine systems. The engineer will work on medium to large turbines and assist with diagnostics and project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Perform operational inspections, calibration, and overhauls
- Diagnose with ADRE 208 and Bently Nevada systems
- Support TurboNet DASH2™ installations and troubleshooting
- Interface with GE Mark I–VI, Woodward, and MHC governors
- Assist with gas turbine projects as needed
Requirements:
- BSME preferred or 8+ years in turbine startup/commissioning
- Experience with OEM controls and ADRE diagnostics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel
- Field travel with coordination at Odessa HQ
Field Foreman – Full Time
TDS is hiring an experienced field foreman to lead turbine generator projects, manage crews, and enforce safety standards in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Lead turbine field crews and enforce deadlines
- Understand turbine assembly and rigging practices
- Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
- Enforce all jobsite safety procedures
- Communicate with contractors and clients
Requirements:
- Experience with industrial rotating equipment
- Qualified rigging and leadership background
- Comfortable leading nationwide travel jobs
- Skilled in reading and executing technical plans
Turbine Mechanic – Full or Part Time
We’re looking for mechanically inclined individuals to assist with turbine assembly, disassembly, and on-site mechanical service work.
Responsibilities:
- Support turbine service crews with hands-on mechanical tasks
- Use standard and specialized tools on rotating equipment
- Assist in setup, teardown, and inspection of turbine systems
- Follow safety procedures and team directions
Requirements:
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience
- Ability to work cooperatively in a crew environment
- Willingness to travel nationwide
- Strong attention to detail and safe work practices
